The Investiture Ceremony is held in school for the newly elected student representatives of the new academic year. These representatives are the head boy and head girl, the house captains and prefects, library captain and prefect, athletic captains, band captain. The badges are given to each of these leaders along with an oath that they recite, which they are meant to follow and fulfil for the time they spend as captains and prefects. This occasion helps the students recognize them and helps them understand the weight of their responsibilities from that point onwards.
